Nicole Brewer decided to found Creative Acts Learning Center as a result of her more than 15 years’ experience as an actor in the theater and 7 years teaching collegiate courses in Theater, Public Speaking, and Communications.  She was disheartened by  the multitudes of talented artists that were not able to sustain their careers. CALC caters to adults who wish to stretch their dramatic imagination and careers with affordable classes, seminars, and workshops in acting, stand up comedy, spoken word, theatrical movement, screen writing, public speaking, and Improv. CALC's signature seminar is the Entrepreneurial Artist Series (EAS) which consists of ten ninety-minute workshops designed to teach artists how to become savvy entrepreneurs. EAS will partner with experts from various industries, tailoring their knowledge to provide current information and skills to nurture the artist’s business sensibilities. The workshops are designed to teach performing artists how to utilize a business framework to build a sustainable career and to provide the tools artists need to become as proficient in business as they are in their art.
